What to expect

Over the next few weeks post-treatment, collagen and elastin production is stimulated, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. This is useful because levels of collagen, elastin, and Hyaluronic Acid in the skin rapidly decline from the age of 30, resulting in signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles, and lack lustre skin. A series of two to three treatments spaced four weeks apart, followed by a single treatment every six to twelve months needed to maintain the results or as recommended during your consultation. The maximum effect is usually seen 2 to 3 months after the second treatment.

Preparation & Aftercare
Preparation
- Before starting your treatment, you will need a consultation with our aesthetic nurse who will conduct an online consultation with the Prescribing Practitioner. From the consultation, an assessment of your treatment plan and prescription will be completed.
- Please advise your aesthetic nurse if you are taking any blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin, warfarin etc.).
- Avoid chemical peels and microneedling for 7 days prior to treatment.
- Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Bio-Remodelling stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.
- The stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
- The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement.
Aftercare
- Skin bio-remodelling injections are a minimally invasive procedure that involves no significant downtime, and you should be able to return to normal ‘light’ daily activities immediately after your procedure. However, we recommend that you avoid physically strenuous activities and sports on the first day after the treatment and minimise going to the sauna or having steamy baths for the first few days. You should also avoid intense sun or UV light exposure for the first few days after treatment.
- In the event of any bruising, it is to be expected that these will gradually fade away within a span of one to two weeks.
- Patients often experience a heightened sense of skin hydration shortly after the procedure, typically within a few days. However, visible results typically manifest around two to three weeks following the initial treatment, with the most optimal outcomes occurring approximately two to three weeks after the third treatment. The product’s ability to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin within your own body means that the results will continue to improve over time.

Is this treatment right for me?
As we age, the hydrating substance within our skin naturally reduces and the natural elasticity and firmness of the skin therefore declines. As most people reach their 30’s they begin to see the effects of this depletion in hydration – if you are looking to counteract this decline Bio-Remodelling is an excellent treatment.
Are there any side effects?
This treatment has no down time. Bio-Remodelling treatments are clinically and scientifically proven in treating and preventing skin ageing. It is important to note that, like all medical procedures, there can be risks, even if they are rare. 24 hours before treatment it is advisable to avoid aspirin, alcohol, and anti-inflammatory medication.
Side effects are uncommon but can include redness, small bumps, bruising and mild tenderness post treatment, which usually resolve within 24 to 48hrs but can take up to a week if injections are too superficial.
During the first 12 hours post treatment we recommend avoiding make up, 2 days post avoid alcohol and vigorous exercise. For 14 days after treatment extreme temperatures (hot or cold) should be avoided.
More severe side effects, such as infection, allergic reactions, or tissue damage, may occur in rare cases. However, these severe side effects are uncommon when a qualified and experienced injector performs the treatment.
Individual responses to skin bio-remodelling injections can vary. While many patients experience positive outcomes and minimal side effects, there is always a possibility of an individual having an unexpected reaction. Discussing your medical history and any pre-existing conditions with your nurse or doctor to assess your suitability for skin bio-remodelling injections and minimise potential risks will be an essential step before undergoing the treatment.
Can I combine Bio-Remodelling with other skin treatments?
Yes, you can combine with other aesthetic treatments. If you wish to further improve your skin texture and tone, we recommend a course of skin needling treatments a minimum of two weeks post treatment.

Can I have Cosmetic Aesthetic tretaments if I am pregnant?
No. Your safety is our main concern and for this reason, we do not treat clients who are pregnant. We advise against all Cosmetic Aesthetic treatments while pregnant simply out of precaution and due to the lack of information available on Cosmetic Aesthetic treatment effects on the fetus.
How long does it last?
Bio-Remodelling results will continue to improve in the months following treatment as new collagen protein is formed within your skin. During this time skin elasticity and skin laxity also continues to improve.
How Long does the treatment take?
One of the most incredible benefits is that a treatment takes only approximately 30 to 50 minutes. Expected treatment time varies per individual, but most of our clients are treated in under 30 minutes.
What is the difference between Bio-Remodelling and Facial Volume Treatments?
Bio-Remodelling does not add volume to the face and is not a facial volume treatment. Its role is to hydrate deeply into the skin and improve skin resilience and flexibility.
