It is especially beneficial for clients with breakouts, uneven tone, or lacklustre skin.

WHAT TO EXPECT
During your Korean Spicules treatment, your therapist will begin with a professional cleanse before applying the spicules to your skin using a specialised technique. You may feel a tingling or prickling sensation as the microscopic spicules create a gentle stimulation within the skin. Many clients describe it as a “needling-like” feeling without the use of actual needles. A soothing and hydrating mask is applied over the spicules while we perform a shoulder, neck and décolletage massage.
This prickly sensation may continue for a short while after your treatment, as the spicules remain active in the skin for up to 72 hours, encouraging cellular turnover and boosting absorption of key actives. The result is a visibly refreshed, smother, and more radiant complexion.

For maximum results, a course of four treatments, at monthly intervals is recommended, followed by monthly to six weekly maintenance treatments and our quality, results driven skincare for optimum results.
This treatment is perfect to pair with our LED Light Therapy treatments to enhance cell turn over for a more rejuvenated skin complexion.
Preparation & Aftercare
Preparation is required for clients who are prone to hyperpigmentation or have medium to dark skin tones (ASAP Daily facial Cleanser, Super B Complex, Super C Serum, Super A+ Serum and Radiance Serum) are to be used for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. You must wait 48 hours after laser treatment or any other heat base treatments.
Aftercare most clients experience mild to moderate flaking starting around day 2–3, lasting up to 7 days. Tightness is normal, but downtime is minimal.
Keep skin hydrated and soothed, avoid active ingredients and exfoliants.
The spicules remain in the skin for up to 3 days. Do not rub or scrub your face during this time (pat only).
Preparation

- Avoid exfoliators, acids, and any retinol or vitamin A-based products

Aftercare
- Don't pick or pull at any loose skin peeling
- Only use ASAP™ gentle products including Gentle Cleansing Gel, Super B Complex, Ultimate Hydration, DNA Renewal Treatment, and Hydrating Defence 50+ SPF daily and avoid unprotected UV sun exposure.
2 weeks post-treatment
- Avoid direct sun exposure No facial hair removal for at least 14 days (this includes waxing, depilatory cream, laser)
5-7 Days post-treatment
- Use correct ASAP™ aftercare products; Gentle Cleansing Gel, Super B Complex, DNA Renewal Treatment, Ultimate Hydration or Advanced Hydration, Hydrating Defence 50+ SPF.
- No Cosmetic Injectable treatments for 7 days
- Avoid direct sun exposure for 5-7 days always use asap Moisture Defence SPF 50+
- Avoid active ingredients and exfoliating products such as AHAs, ASAP Daily Cleanser, ASAP Daily Exfoliating Facial Scrub, ASAP Super C Serum, ASAP Super A+ Serum, ASAP Radiance Serum, ASAP Liquid Platinum, ASAP Hydrating Night Repair for at least 5 days after the treatment or until you stop peeling.
Aftercare products and cleansers MUST be pat into the skin
72 hours post-treatmen

48 hours post-treatmen
- Avoid swimming, chlorinated pools and spas Do not put your face directly under the shower stream. Avoid makeup until the following day

- Avoid heat, water, or product application. Failure to do so may reactivate the peel and cause an adverse reaction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my skin suitable?
This treatment is suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin types and does not require extensive preparation. It should be avoided with cold sores or compromised skin. Clients on using prescription topicals may require appropriate waiting periods before treatment.
Who cannot have this treatment?
This treatment is not recommended if you are experiencing active eczema, rosacea flare ups, cold sores, open wounds, have keloid scarring, sunburn or are using certain prescription acne or skin medications.
Is Dr Esthe’ suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding clients?
This treatment is not suitable during pregnancy and breast feeding, as Dr Esthe’ contain active exfoliating ingredients.
What is the difference between Skin Needling (Dermapen 4) and Esthe’ ?
Dr. Esthé is a Korean, machine-free, non-invasive alternative to traditional skin needling (microneedling). While both treatments aim to stimulate collagen, refine texture, and boost product absorption, they differ significantly in their methods:
Dr. Esthé uses microscopic, natural needles derived from sponges, causing a micro repair response, which activates skin renewal and repair without compromising the barrier causing a mass micro activation working with in the epidermis. Whereas traditional needling uses a mechanical device with fine, stainless steel needles to create controlled, deep micro-injuries in the skin, initiating inflammation or wound- healing response. Skin needling focuses on active wound healing which works in the dermal-epidermal junction.
How many treatments are required?
Improvements can be seen from a single session, although for best results, we recommend a course of 4 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart. Followed by maintenance as needed. Your experienced Therapist will tailor a treatment plan for your skin concerns.

What will I look like after Dr Esthe’ treatment?
It is normal to have some redness, mild swelling and tingling or prickling sensation for a few days as the spicules remain active in the skin for up to 72 hours. The skin may feel tight and mask-like and look shiny and darker for a few days, when a light peeling effect should kick in. NOTE − DO NOT PICK any peeling skin, as this delays the healing process and can lead to infection, scarring or pigmentation changes.
