Dermapen 4™ Microneedling with Exosomes is not suitable for all skin types. A complimentary consultation prior to treatment is required to determine suitability. Our experienced therapist will tailor a preparation plan for your skin type and skin condition, to achieve optimum results from your Skin Needling treatment. Preparation
2 weeks prior to treatment
- No Laser Hair Removal, waxing, depilatory creams, and IPL treatments on the face
- No Cosmetic Grade Peels
- No Cosmetic Injectables
- No sun exposure, always wear SPF 30+
- Fitzpatrick skin types IV and above (medium to dark skin tones or prone to hyperpigmentation), we recommend you prepare your skin with a melanin inhibitor such as the ASAP Super A+ Serum, Radiance Serum to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation after the treatment.
3 days prior to treatment
- Avoid AHA exfoliating products and Retin-A
- No blood thinning medication
- No fake tan present on the area (this may cause a tattooing effect)
Aftercare
It is important to follow any aftercare instructions provided by our experienced therapists to ensure optimal results.
Do not pull or pick any loose skin after the treatment.
48 hours post-treatment
- Avoid excessive sun exposure, hot showers, and saunas, strenuous exercise. Within 3-4 hours any redness and irritation should subside.
- Avoid swimming, chlorinated pools and spas
5-7 days post-treatment
- Use correct ASAP™ aftercare products; Gentle Cleansing Gel, Super B Complex, DNA Renewal Treatment, ASAP Ultimate Hydration moisturiser or ASAP Advanced Hydration moisturiser, Hydrating Defence 50+ SPF.
